Thoughts is a collection of pieces about love, dreams and romance. Jennifer Ollie sheds light to some of the highs and lows of love as well. Her intent is for the reader to feel connected to authentic, inspiring, and unmanufactured thoughts on love.

Jennifer Ollie is a Chicago native and received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, she holds a Masters in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling along with being a Licensed Professional Counselor. She also holds a certificate in Applied Project Management from Northwestern University.

Professionally, Ollie serves as Senior Director of Student Access & Career Planning and adjunct professor at Illinois Tech. She is intentional about providing college access along with effective retention strategies for students from underrepresented neighborhoods. In her spare time, Ollie enjoys the thrill of using writing as an expression to promote creativity. She describes herself as “a lover of words.” She believes the art of writing can be a powerful yet unique space along with providing a voice to the voiceless. Her latest project entitled, “Thoughts” shares an invigorating collection of poetry on the emotional highs and lows of love.
