Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the end of Slavery, two and a half years after the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Originating in Galveston, Texas where the last of the enslaved were told of their freedom, it has been celebrated annually on June 19 in various parts of the United States since 1866. It's a reminder to us all that none uf us are free, til we all are free.
